Sliding shutters, whether on furniture or doors, are always a popular choice for contemporary interior furniture and therefore recessed handles are widely used. Solid handles with recessed knobs are particularly elegant as they do not create interruptions in the continuity of the surface. The problem with this type of handle is that the central mechanism which returns the handle to its rest position is normally built from springs. These springs, when used daily over time, can jam or block and the spring release can be noisy. This is why Omporro created a recessed handle with a magnetic levitation mechanism, which operates quietly and reliably over time.
